Dr. Kuwada serves as the Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship Director at Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy. He also acts as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Kuwada received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut before completing his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He supplemented this training with a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy at Northwestern University. Dr. Kuwada is a member of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
