Dr. Bauman performs virtually all facets of bariatric surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Bariatric Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bauman received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina. He completed his surgical residency at Roanoke Memorial Hospitals.
