Dr. Mitchell has performed numerous primary and revisional laparoscopic bariatric surgeries. He has over ten years of experience in laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries. Dr. Mitchell received his medical degree from East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, one of the world's leading bariatric surgery centers. He completed his surgical residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Mitchell is a member of several medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery, and the American Society of Bariatric Surgery.
